Botox at Lacamas Ultherapy

If you are thinking about having a Botox treatment, you have come to the right place. At Lacamas Dental and Cosmetic Center we have been providing Botox for both medical and cosmetic purposes since 2005. Let us provide you with a free consultation so that we can decide together whether or not this treatment is suitable for you.

Botox Medical Uses

There are many people who use this treatment to reduce pain in the face, neck or back. Nerves in the body send pain signals to the muscles. In recent studies, Botox has been shown to have blocked those signals so that patients experience relief from the pain. After the pain is blocked, the muscle becomes relaxed and muscle spasms cease. The following are some diagnosis in which Lacamas Dental and Cosmetic Center patients benefit from this treatment:

  • Hyperhidrosis - Uncontrollable sweating of the armpits
  • Strabismus - Crossed eyes
  • Blepharospasm - Eyelid spasms
  • TMD - Temporomandibular Disorders
  • Migraine and Tension Headaches
  • Cervical Dystonia – Muscle spasms and pain in the neck area when tilting
  • Gummy Smile - a significant amount of gingival tissue (gums) can be seen as a person smiles

Botox Cosmetic Uses

Tired of those unwanted wrinkles? Then Lacamas Dental and Cosmetic center can help you. Botox is the only type of treatment of its kind that is actually approved by the FDA. After about ten minutes of small injections, and after a few days, you will notice a difference in your face. Many people use this procedure to smooth out frown lines between their eyebrows. The cosmetic is produced by Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which is what decreases the amount of activity in the muscles that create the frown lines as people age. It is a simple procedure that requires no surgery and can have lasting effects of up to six months, depending on the patient. Results will vary by patient.

Side effects of BOTOX include: dry mouth, discomfort or pain at the injection site, tiredness, headache, neck pain, and eye problems: double vision, blurred vision, decreased eyesight, drooping eyelids, swelling of your eyelids, and dry eyes. In people being treated for urinary incontinence other side effects include: urinary tract infection, painful urination, and/or inability to empty your bladder on your own. If you have difficulty fully emptying your bladder after receiving BOTOX®, you may need to use disposable self-catheters to empty your bladder up to a few times each day until your bladder is able to start emptying again.
